Update from Mel and Trina

Much going on here in Zephyrhills. Moved a couple's RV for them from here in Zephyrhills over to Orlando. Took a lot to get the RV ready to be moved. Battery was dead. It had been sitting for a long time and the lights had been torn off their tow dolly. Mel replaced those and charged the battery. When we got them to the RV park in Orlando we made sure they were set up before we left. This couple is elderly and are moving back north to live near their kids. Their children are coming down to get them in about a month and they had to move the RV from where they were so they chose to go to the Orlando area.

Mel is busy with Vacation Bible Camp this week at First United Methodist Church. He is also getting ready to go visit Tim Robinson, his son and Saafe. Please pray for safe travel for Mel.

April and May Update

We pray that everyone had a blessed and very Happy Easter and that the Lenten season brought you closer to our Lord and Savior. We want to wish all mothers and anyone who has been in the mom role a very Happy Mother's Day.

We have been very very busy doing what God is leading us to do.  We are assisting on Saturday evening with a Christian service and meal for the needy. Also helping with a food pantry on Monday's that helps well over 30 families a week.  Mel continues to enjoy cutting hair for people in need.  We are actively praying for God to open the doors that He wants us to enter and to close those where He doesn't want us to be.

Mel finished his Stephen's Ministry Classes and became a Stephen Minister on Sunday, April 29th. He is now trained
to provide one-to-one, Christ-centered care to hurting
people.  If you want to know more about what a Stephen Minister is please click here.

I am still working at Walmart and doing whatever I can to help others.  I completed Disciple I, Old Testament in April as well.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

March Update

Well, it's the middle of March already!  Where has the time gone?  We have been busy helping others.  We are continuing to help at the food pantry on Monday mornings. There are usually over 30 - 35 families that we are able to help out.  And more coming each week!  We continue to help on Fridays and Saturdays to bring God's love to others by serving them.

Last week we helped a homeless man by getting him a bike so that he can get around town.  His bike and backpack were stolen a couple of weeks ago.

Mel is helping out with cooking, serving and cleaning up for the Youth Group at church on Sunday afternoons.   He is learning a lot at his Stephen's Minister class on Tuesday mornings and is putting what he is learning into practice already!

We are also involved with a group of Christian brothers and sisters who are putting together a Care Center for Zephyrhills.  We are in the initial planning stages for this important ministry. Please keep it in your prayers.

Happy New Year

Mel and I want to wish everyone a very Blessed and Happy New Year!  We also want to thank you for all your prayers and support in 2013.  We want to ask you for continued prayers and support during this upcoming year.  We have been very busy these past few months.  God is opening doors for us to show His love to others by serving them and building relationships.

We are serving a meal to the needy on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4pm in Zephyr Park.  We have been at the park on Mondays and Wednesday for a month and we have been increasing in numbers each day.  We begin each meal with prayer and the people know that we are there for them.  We are building relationships with the people.  Mel is also cutting men's hair for anyone who needs a haircut.

We are also involved with a food pantry on Mondays, helping with a meal that is served on Fridays at a nearby church and helping with a meal on Saturday evening at a prayer meeting followed by a meal.

Trina is continuing working at WalMart and Mel is also busy working with wood in what spare time he has.  The woodworking will be used in the ministry.

New Days, Mondays and Wednesdays, Feeding the Needy at Zephyr Park

Yesterday was our first Wednesday of feeding the needy at Zephyr Park.  Mel and I together with 2 other couples have added Mondays and Wednesdays to the feeding of the needy in Zephyrhills.  We have been blessed to be able to add these days.

God is so good!  Please check out the pictures from there on our photo page.   Mel has been busy (in his spare time!) working with wood.  He enjoys creating woodwork.  Please take a look at the photos taken of the Nativity that he made!  Are you ready for the coming of our Saviour?
